Job Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for the 24/7/365 operations of the wide-area network including virtual private connections to customer locations, redundant data and voice services as well as remote connectivity for employees.
  • Responsible for the 24/7/365 data center operations of the servers, storage systems, operating systems, databases, and communication systems including the system administration and patching of these systems.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, documentation, troubleshooting, and monitoring of technology and network infrastructure.
  • Handles problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up, referring more complex problems to vendors and partners.
  • Research, evaluate, design, analyze cost, implement and maintain technical vendor solutions.
  • Implement new technologies including system performance and monitoring tools, virtualization of hardware, software, and data back-up technologies.
  • Configuration management of server builds, network appliances, and other, infrastructure components.
  • Maintain plans to recover operating capability in the event of emergencies.
  • Work collaboratively with Executive Management, Operations, Product Development, and customer-facing teams to identify and prioritize company needs; develop cost/benefit analysis, IT budgets, schedules, and capacity plans.
  • Coordinates  management of the technology infrastructure and framework with strategic partners.
  • Selects, designs, installs, tests, de-bugs, modifies, and maintains the hardware, network, and software necessary to operate and improve the technology infrastructure.
  • Develops and documents related to network configuration, network mapping, processes and service records.
  • Ensure connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephone equipment, and other network appliances.
  • Perform security audits and infrastructure backups and recovery.
  • Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of customer managed hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Provide training for all employees on technology tools, software, and use of computing equipment as required.
  • Installing, documenting, inventorying, maintaining, and troubleshooting all information technology assets including but not limited to:
    1. Physical network infrastructure: cabling, switches, routers, etc.
    2. Hardware: personal computers, servers, printers, personal digital assistants, etc.
    3. Application software products
    4. Server and personal computer operating system software.
    5. E-mail server.
    6. Data backup and redundancy.
    7. Security policies and procedures.
  • Providing Help Desk support to all end users both internal and external.
    1. Answering, evaluating, and prioritizing requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.
    2. Logging and tracking requests using help desk software, maintain history records, and related problem documentation.
  • Maintaining current knowledge and skills through workshops, online tools, and/or seminars.
  • Ensures that the technology organization is flexible enough to adapt and adhere to changing industry needs across the lines of business iBridge sells services to.
  • Engage in industry networking events, and technology conferences and seminars as appropriate to further develop business relationships.
  • Remain up-to-date with latest industry news and relevant advances in applications and technology; share this news with team members.
  • Seek out ways to help customers and the company profit from how data is used while focusing on managing budgets and processes to eliminate or reduce cost.

Specific Job Skills

Excellent knowledge of technology environments, including telecommunications, networks, programming, media, and desktops including:

  • A demonstrated record of accomplishment, represented by roles of increasing autonomy, leadership, and responsibility.
  • Possess a strong work ethic with a “hands on” mentality.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in information Technology or Computer Science preferred.
  • 5+ years of proven success in managing and directing technology operations.
  • Extensive knowledge of data processing; hardware platforms; enterprise software applications; and outsourced systems, including electronic storage, and electronic discovery of information.
  • Excellent knowledge of technology environments, including telecommunications, networks, programming, media, and desktops including: 
  • Solid understanding of computer systems characteristics, features, and integration capabilities.
  • Experience in strategic technology planning, execution, and policy development.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
    • Microsoft applications including Office products suite, Share Point, Access
    • Microsoft Server Applications including Active Directory, Windows Server, SQL, Project Server, SCOM, etc.
    • Advanced knowledge of routing and switching technologies
    • Microsoft Share Point Portal Server

    • Advanced knowledge of queries and scripting using MS SQL Server preferred

 Education and Experience Requirements

The following are the educational and experience requirements for candidates to immediately succeed:

  • 5+ years of proven success in managing and directing technology operations.

Additional Experience

The following are preferred but not required:

  • Understanding of digital evidence handling and computer forensics principles and practices.
  • Proficiency with data management services (loading images to a network, burning CDs/DVDs, loading data into database applications, conducting database inquiries, and developing reports for project teams.
  • Experience with several of the following applications: iCONECT NXT, Concordance, dtSearch, Relativity, LAW 5.0, IPRO, Nuix, Wave Trident.
